A safer table
Safety at the table.
The best stories happen when everyone feels welcome. Here's how Questboard helps you get there.
Run a session zero
Before dice hit the table, talk through tone, content limits, and expectations. Every campaign on Questboard lists its tone tags, content warnings, and the safety tools the DM uses.
Safety tools we encourage
Lines & Veils, the X-Card, Script Change, and Open Door are good starting points. DMs note which tools they use on every listing so players can opt in with confidence.
Content warnings
DMs are asked to flag themes that could land hard - graphic violence, real-world bigotry, body horror, etc. If a campaign's warnings don't sit right with you, don't apply. That's a feature, not a failure.
Reporting a problem
Block any user from their profile to cut off DMs and applications. Use the report option on a profile, conversation, or campaign for anything that crosses a line - harassment, hate speech, doxxing, or breaches of these guidelines. We review every report.
What gets you removed
Harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual content involving minors, doxxing, or repeated no-shows. We err on the side of the players reporting harm.
A note for DMs
You set the tone of the table - and the example. Confirm consent for difficult content in session zero, give players an easy out, and step in when something feels off. Players remember the DM who made the table feel safe.
